Many forests of paper has been spent in trying to find out why Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar converted to Buddhism and not to Islam or Christianity. We at Dalit nation have done research for 22 years on this subject. Babasaheb loved islam and loved Christianity also. They were his object of admiration all the time. But Babasaheb knew that without both the help of christianity and islam we could never defeat Hinduism. Babasaheb knew it very well. If Babsaheb had become muslim then we would have the christian against us and same thing if he had become christian the muslims would be against Babasaheb. Babsaheb then disvcovered Buddha. This buddha is not the Buddha created by Brahmins. But the real buddha. The brahmins had swallowed up Buddhism and ascribed to him all the qualities he did not preach. They taught meditation and non violence. But Babasaheb was the first person to show the world that Buddha was a social revolutionary and not a meditative non voilent saint. This is what the Brahmin pervesion had made buddhism into. Babasaheb hence converted all of us into real Buddhists. Because real Buddists beleive in equality which Hindu caste system does not. Even Islam and Christianity beleives in equality. Therefore they are all the same religions. Look at the genius of Ambedkar. He knew all the schemes and tacticts of Brahmins. Babasaheb did not choose Islam, Christianity or Hinduism because these religions had Gods, Son of God, or Messenger of God. These keys or roads to Swarg, Heaven or Jannat lead to nowhere. This was understood and propagated by Lord Buddha and Babasaheb subscribed to His views. And this is very true if a rational man would apply the rules of reason. One of my fellow human being says that Islam does not need Buddhists, here I would like to make it clear that, we are genuinely not interested in any facets of Islam or any other belief which propounds irrational ways to attain Moksha and other such stuff. If we look at the society around us, we find good and bad everywhere. In every stratum, in every caste, in every religion we have good and bad people. A poor should be called a poor, and a rich, a rich. Being poor doesn’t make one a good person, and being rich doesn’t make one a bad person. Goodness and Badness is not dependent one’s level of income. It’s an innate nature of human beings.
However, this innate nature is often influenced by external conditioning – such as family environment, immediate society, education, religion etc. To a Christian or a Hindu, the influence of his religion is not as strong as that on a Muslim (male). This is because a non-Muslim is never “conditioned” to think in one way – as a Muslim man is conditioned to think. A Muslim man cannot think beyond Koran. Dr. Zakir Naik of Islamic Research Foundation rightly says that for Muslims like him Koran is the benchmark for everything. Science is okay in as far as it agrees with Koran. It’s a different matter that Muslim scholars strive to extrapolate, mince and misinterpret Koranic verses to prove that they contend with science. Koran and Science is a new area of research for these Muslim “scientists” (people like Dr. Zakir Naik) to prove that Science agrees with Koran (and, not otherwise). All developments of science – theories, postulates, theorems and axioms are there in Koran, which need to be researched, unveiled and exposed. Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, Quantum theory, Concepts of relativity, Postulates of Darwin… etc. are all there in Koran. Prophet Mohammed was not only a prophet; he was also a scientist-par-excellence. He had his own research laboratory with 11 lab assistants (you guess the names). It’s an irony that the developed world doesn’t recognize his scientific genius. One Koran is enough to replace all books on Math, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Anthropology… by just knowing and understanding the Koran, a person can understand all the secrets of nature.
The Rich Dalits and Muslims… Thriving on Hypocrisy and Hatred towards Hinduism
I must not deviate. Though I am a Muslim myself (a true Muslim never deviates), I am in the habit of deviating from the right path (the path of Islam) and search for newer paths. The Koran in Surah 2 (The Heifer) talks about these hypocrites like me. I, on my part, would like to talk about the hypocrites like VT Rajshekar (Editor of magazine “Dalit Voice”), Kancha Ilaiah (of “Why I am Not a Hindu” fame), Zakir Naik (Dr. Koran)… and the likes. These people portray themselves as oppressed and subjugated – as if all the agonies and sorrows on earth have befallen them. So beautifully they craft words to win audience, that the true Dalits – the really true Dalits, who are really oppressed and exploited, lose their voice. Has anyone enquired into the personal lives of these pseudo-dalits? Are they really dalits? To talk about the rights of dalits is welcome – but who is the real dalit? Whose voice is unheard of? These powerful men have themselves become rich talking about dalits and Islam, but we Muslim women continue to remain under misery and desolation. Do Muslim women have any voice? I was luckier that I married a non-Muslim. And today I have the freedom to write about the issues beyond the veil. The dalits of India are not as exploited as these leaders portray them to be. The plight of dalits (other than Muslim women) has more monetary nuances than otherwise. The oppressed are they who are financially weak. The financially strong, from whatever lower caste they may come from, are not oppressed. And this oppression too is sporadic and milder compared to the oppression that Muslim women face. India offers its citizens far more rights than any other country. But Muslim women are really oppressed, irrespective of their financial status. And the reasons are religious, not political or otherwise. Only Islam is responsible for their poor condition.
Majority of the Hindus are liberal, respectful to other faiths and peace-loving
My husband is a Hindu, loves me, and respects Islam more than I myself. I must say, that India offers tremendous freedom to people to speak their mind. Anti-Hindu books have sold like hot cakes – bought predominantly by Hindus only. Hindus have tremendous tenacity to accept criticism. Anti-Islam literature is mostly available online (many Islamic countries do not permit thought-provoking sites such as faithfreedom.org), but you’d find anti-Hindu books in Hindu shops! What does it speak of? If Hinduism is really that bad, if it is really that oppressive, it’d oppress anti-Hindu publications also. But it never did so. Go to any railway book stall beside Gita-Press outlet and you can freely ask for a copy of Kancha Ilaiah’s “Why I am Not a Hindu?” You can also frivolously tell the Hindu bookseller how much praise you have heard about this book from Dr. Zakir Naik (Dr. Koran) or VT Rajshekar. But I can assure you, you’d never get a hard copy of “Why I am Not a Muslim” by Ibn Warraq anywhere in India, neither in Hindu shops, nor in Muslim shops. [Read my post “Mr. Kancha Ilaiah – Why I Am Not a Muslim!’ You can use the search field on top left of this page]. You’d never get published copies of all those articles posted by Brother Ali Sina (and party) on their website http://www.faithfreedom.org. Ask for VT Rajshekar’s “Dalit Voice”, and you can easily get it in your city if you do a little search. VT Rajshekar calls the Brahmins cunning – and it’s an irony that his so called “Brahmin-ruled” India hasn’t banned his books and magazine.
The Role of Media and Non-Muslims in Converting Muslim Women to Other Faiths
It’s high time that media highlights the pathetic condition of Muslim women across the globe. Let not get swayed away by the baseless rants of these hypocrites. Dalitism for them is a money-making affair. The best leaders of dalits were people like Buddha, Guru Nanak, Sufiyan Thuri, Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Sant Ravidas, Baba Bulleh Shah, Sri Ramakrishna… who really strove for an egalitarian society… without making their life-goal a money making business. At least, they were not hypocrites.
In the end, I’d reiterate that the real dalits of India are Muslim women. They hardly have any say in anything. True liberation can only come if non-Muslims come forward to help them. Their plight is more religious than economic. They have been victims of the lop-sided and prejudiced teachings of Koran that has pushed them much behind their own men-folk (who are already behind other men of their age) in terms of education and better lifestyle. True revolution can only come if Muslim women marry non-Muslims. Christians can play a more important role. Missionaries can come forward and attract Muslim women to their fold. Secular Christian education can really go a long way in improving the status of Muslim women. Hindus need to be more liberal in converting people to their faith. There is serious lack of missionary zeal among Hindu organizations – most of them are only indolent outfits busy stopping converts to Christianity. I strongly feel that the plight of Muslim women can improve only if both Hindus and Christians come forward to uplift them. The Sikhs and Buddhists can also play important roles. Buddhists have far more missionary zeal compared to Hindus. Moreover, many Buddhists and Christians in India are non-vegetarians. This would facilitate easy conversion of Muslim women to their faiths. Let us come forward to help the really deserving dalits – the Muslim women who have been victims of worst kind of gender bias for centuries.

Well I would not go through the entire episode of events described herein because I find many episodes contradictory to each other. Well, the beginning was great because it merely portrayed the truth and truth is always great, howsoever, bitter it may be. Confusion and deviation seem to be the supreme traits of the writer, and what is great, again, is that the writer candidly admits to it. Somewhere the writer says that Koran should be replaced by every other religion and all other books and all, and somewhere she says that A Muslim must accept science only if it is in consonance with Koran. Here the contradiction is prominently visible. Sometimes she praises Islam and sometimes she is unhappy about what is there in Islam. She married a Hindu because she was unhappy with Islamic practices. Well she does write well but this AUTO-IMMUNE disorder in the script makes it a disease which needs cure, and if not cure, needs management, because i have heard that auto immune disorders are non-curable.

Please read a chapter `conversion of women` in Dr. Ambedkar`s book `Buddha and his Dhamma`.which establishes that Buddha was not in fever of joining women as bhikshus ! It was his brother Anand who convinced him to allow women to enter the bhikshu sangh with subject to the 8 conditions which shows the female bhikshus are inferior to the male bhikshus ! This is manu-simarity type ! In this chapter,Budha did not fulfilled his promise with an untouchable unmarried girl named Prakriti to got married to Anand ! WAS Budha against inter-caste/inter-varan marriage ? This is also not a manuwadi thinking ? I visited the Sanchi satupa wherw the Vishnu is inscribed on the main gate erected by the Ashoka.! TOI reported today that IIT has reduced its cut-off entry just because reserved seats falling vacant. But they will not give these reserved seats to deserving students from open category.

Reservation is like alms given to a guy who is starving for education (like tribals etc). These people dont even know that you can educate yourself. (By no way am i implying that these people are less superior in any way to the educated people, in fact they are much superior). The idea is if such a person wants to get 40% marks he has to do that much work as a person whose parents are educated has to do for getting 95%.
But the pity is that people who are educated, employed individuals, rich persons, ministers, professionals etc are snatching away even the alms that are being given to these actually backward people by creating a mask under which they can claim the benefit. They are actually taking away alms meant for some body else. Moreover, more and more people now want to get into that category and completely deny benefits to actual persons for whom it was meant.
They are like parasites and want to enjoy in the name of the dalits and ultimately will kill them by not allowing them to come up.
It is like ration card and subsidised LPG connection for all, even those who earn millions of Rs. Do you think it makes any bit of a sense? This only creates a group of middlemen who trade in these items at the expense of the country’s money which is actually causing inflationary situation.
In fact, i am told that some people take advantage of a persons hunger by feeding him on condition that he will convert his religion. These guys are mad. Is this the way to liberate a person.
The only cure for this parasite called “GREED” is “Self Restraint”.
These middle men have to undertand that the are taking away benefits unnessarily depriving the poor people or one day the actual tribals have to be taught that these people are taking away their food and they will take care of these parasites.
In that way I support and wish the TOI intitiative to “TEACH INDIA” and wish them all success.

The Melavalavu case had sent shock waves across the country, much like the Keezhavenmani carnage of 1968 in which 44 Dalits were charred to death.
THE CASE
In 1996, the hostility of caste Hindus of Melavalavu village in Madurai district towards Dalits intensified after the local panchayat was designated as a reserved local body. The caste Hindus, mainly those belonging to the Ambalakarar community, adopted devious methods to disrupt the elections as they were not prepared to put up with a panchayat headed by a Dalit. They let loose terror, forcing the Dalit nominees to withdraw from the contest. When fresh elections were held, they resorted to booth-capturing, which warranted a re-poll. Although Murugesan was elected, he was not allowed to function freely. He faced constant threats from his detractors.
Finally, on June 30, 1997, when Murugesan, along with a few other functionaries of the panchayat, was returning to his village from Madurai after a meeting with government officials in pursuance of their demands, the caste Hindus attacked the bus in which they were travelling. The victims, who tried to flee, were hacked to death. Murugesan was beheaded.
Although 40 persons were cited as accused, the trial court on July 26, 2001, convicted 17 of them, including “accused No.1” Alagarsamy for offences under Section 302 (punishment for murder) read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and/or Section 149 IPC (unlawful assembly). The judgment was confirmed by the High Court through its verdict on April 19, 2006.
Filing appeals before the Supreme Court, Alagarsamy and others contended that the whole prosecution case was liable to be discarded on the basis of “irregularities” pertaining to the first information report (FIR). They also contended that the trial court had convicted them on the interested and discrepant testimony of the prosecution witnesses even as the FIR book itself could not be traced and the names of many persons in the case did not figure in the FIR. The appellants also argued that the first report sent by the Tahsildar of Melur to the District Collector and the Collector’s report to the Secretary, Public (Law and Order), did not mention the names of the accused.
However, a Supreme Court Bench comprising Justices V.S. Sirpurkar and Deepak Verma dismissed the appeals. The court also pointed out that the non-mention of names in these reports would be of no consequence as the officers were only informing the higher-ups.
“Considering the unprecedented nature of this prosecution, the chaos that it caused in the otherwise peaceful life of the village and the enormousness of the whole affair, the number of persons murdered, the number of witnesses collected and the enormousness of the investigation, we cannot blame the investigating agency and the prosecution for not being able to trace out the FIR book…. In our opinion, that circumstance, by itself, will not persuade us to throw the whole prosecution case,” the apex court observed.
“In fact, barring the aforementioned argument regarding the FIR, no arguments were led before us, assailing the evidence of the eyewitnesses, as also the injured witnesses and the other corroborating circumstances relied on by the courts below,” it pointed out.
The court also agreed with the comment of the High Court that there had been an attempt to win over the prosecution witness-1, Krishnan, after the cross-examination. Krishnan was declared hostile at the fag end of his cross-examination, it noted.
“We are convinced that the findings of the trial court and the appellate court are correct… in law. We find that there is no merit in the appeal and it deserves to be dismissed. It is accordingly dismissed,” the apex court said in its order.
The court order is a shot in the arm for those fighting for the empowerment of the oppressed.

I believe Dr. Ambedkar, for all his good work towards the upliftment of Dalits, made a fatal error in judgment by preferring Buddhism over the word of Jesus.If there’s one belief system which can restore hope among India’s downtrodden in the caste system, it’s Christianity. All Dalits should read the Bible if they want answer to the problems afflicting Indian society. Sorry to say but Buddha is a false idol just like the false belief systems of Hinduism. They’re meaningless and spiritually empty belief systems.
Only Jesus is true – he clearly says in the Bible: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
Christianity is the only faith which represents true hope for the downtrodden and the underprivileged. God’s Grace is manifested to all of us through Jesus.
Dr. Ambedkar should have known better, he spent so many years in the West and was exposed to radical Christian thinkers in those times. Had he called on Dalits to opt for Christianity instead of Buddhist falsehoods, India would have been in a very different league.
Jesus DOES NOT abandon those who have faith in him (unlike false prophets like Muhammad, Krishna or Buddha do) – “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 14:13).
There would have been no Dalits remaining in India today had Dr. Ambedkar been wiser as Christ guarantees salvation and a freedom from oppression for those who believe in Him as their personal savior.

I am CHAMBHAR by caste….Many of them who are in open caste in Hindu…They do castism…They never treat us same even though I am a hindu but chambhar… I observed many times the people who are in Open caste in hindu religion…They allways say cheap to OBC SC caste…We all SC OBC NT should get converted into some other religion….Lets see how much people will stay in hindu religion….
